Annual prize distribution function of Malwa Central College of Education for Women was held on 06 March, 2018 in the college campus. S. Raman Singh Sidhu, Chairman European Business Group Federation, India and Former Chairman, Indo-Canadian Chamber of commerce deputy chairman British Business group graced the occasion as chief guest.Members of the management and other former faculty members also dignified the occasion with their presence.
The Programme was started with Shabad recital. Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. She also presented annual report highlighting various achievements of the students.
The chief guest gave prizes to 144 students of B.Ed., M.Ed. and Polytechnic (MIPSS) for their achievements in Curricular and co-curricular activities. He congratulated the students and also motivated the future teachers to perform their duties with dedication and integrity. He advised the future teachers that with their teaching they should transform the education in a joyful activity to create the interest of the students in subjects. They also advocate that every teacher should approach to their students, who are with diverse culture, individually. The medium of communication should be able to address the diverse needs and language diversity of the class.
S. Pritpal Singh Grewal, Chairman managing committee of the college extended heartiest thanks to the esteemed guests for their valuable deliberations on the need of dealing the diversity in Indian classrooms, transforming the teaching-learning experience in a joyful activity. Dr. Satwant Kaur, Vice Principal of the college was in-charge of the function and it came to an end amidst cheers.
